Topher is originally from Scranton, PA and earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Political Science from Shippensburg University (go Raiders!). He has spent the last ten years working in experiential education and outdoor recreation, serving as the director of an after-school program, working at environmental schools in California and Alabama, teaching outdoor skills in Maine, and working as a math curriculum developer at a tutoring center in North Carolina, before joining ARCC in 2022.
He has led programs in California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Fiji. He is passionate about working with young adults and facilitating challenging experiences for them to grow from. When not working with ARCC, you can find him playing tuba and trombone in his local orchestra, playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, going on hikes and bike trips around central Oregon, and reading science fiction novels.
