The Six Themes of ARCC Gap:
Environment and Conservation, Literacy and Education, Public Health, The Movement of Peoples, Indigenous Rights and Histories, and Social Justice
ARCC offers nine gap semesters throughout the U.S., East Africa, Asia, the Himalayas, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Islands. All of our gap year programs are designed for students who are engaged, motivated and excited for the new experiences that await them. Whether this means living with a family in a homestay, working in a national park, conducting interviews with local community members, or transitioning and adjusting to cultural norms unfamiliar to them at home, students are often faced with new challenges and opportunities for growth during these semesters. ARCC Gap students should come ready to step outside of their comfort zones and be open to all that lies ahead of them. ARCC goes to great efforts to ensure that our program is the right fit for you. ARCC Gap Semesters are designed for students ages 17 – 20.
