Jack was born and raised in Southern California. He spent his childhood surfing, climbing, hiking, and skiing. After high school, he took a gap year where he traveled to South America and completed the NOLS Patagonia year course, which is a 135-day outdoor leadership and expedition course. After completing his course, he traveled around south America finally ending up in Peru working on an ecological nature reserve. He graduated from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania with a degree in Environmental Studies and a concentration in global development as it relates to climate change and violent conflict. During his time at Dickinson he worked with the outdoors club, founding their first Outdoor Orientation program. On his own time, he loves to travel and see the world. He does not want to leave any stone unturned and has a goal to visit 100 countries by the time I am 50.
