Ryan McDuffie

Ryan came to ARCC with a passion for Marine Biology and working with students of all ages. Since 2017 he had been teaching Marine Biology to students at the Catalina Island Marine Institute in the Southern Channel Islands which allowed him to be in the ocean as much as the classroom. Ryan led his first ARCC program in Ecuador and the Galapagos in the summer of 2019 and then went on to lead the Pacific Islands Gap Semester the following fall. Ryan’s passion for dynamic teaching outside of the classroom and for working with youth, combined with his love of traveling are some of the reasons he continues to lead for ARCC in the field. Along with Marine Science, Ryan is also passionate about reading, psychology, SCUBA, and Sloths.
