Sam grew up in Pennsylvania and has been living in California for the past few years. She went to college at Penn State and graduated with a degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management, with a focus in outdoor recreation. She has worked for various backpacking and outdoor education companies over the years, as her passion is in teaching others about the amazing natural world around us. No matter where Sam is in the world, she always enjoys a good hike, a relaxing swim, or a gripping book. When not traveling with ARCC, she works at an outdoor education institute as their program coordinator, handling the logistics of the program.
