Sarah was raised between Sacramento and Tahoe, California, and has always been passionate about facilitating memorable and empowering outdoor experiences for people. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2019 with a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration, and concentrated in Outdoor Recreation Management. During her time in school, she was a Trip Leader for Cal Poly’s student-led outdoor excursion program and had the opportunity to lead trips that ranged from kayaking in the Channel Islands, to snowshoeing in Yosemite, to climbing in Joshua Tree. After graduating, she has worked with California State Parks on the Central Coast of California in education and interpretation. She had the opportunity to lead ARCC’s Ecuador and Galapagos Island Village Initiative program in the summer of 2018 with ARCC and our Northwest Gap Semester in spring 2021. Sarah loves Thai food and dancing with friends, and eventually would love to teach high school life sciences!
