Anna Middleton

Anna was born and raised in Big Sky, Montana. She attended Whitman College in Washington state where she majored in Rhetoric Studies. She spent her college summers leading backpacking trips for youth in Colorado, inner tubing down the South Platte river, wearing costumes as often as normal outfits, and eating a lot of s’mores. Anna came to ARCC in the fall of 2020 and has since led the Northwest Gap, Alaska Summer, and Centro-Caribbean Gap programs. Anna spends her winters in Montana where she is a professional Ski Patroller at Big Sky Resort. She loves watching the sunrise from high on the mountain, learning about avalanche mitigation, and working as an EMT. She also works as an artist under the name @skycolorartMT/skycolorart.com. In her free time, Anna loves to mountain bike, go for long hikes with her watercolor notebook, raft down lazy rivers, and tend to her flower and veggie garden.
