Born in Carrolton, Georgia, Katy attended college in Alabama, during which time she awakened a love for new cultures and traveling during her semesters abroad in Costa Rica and London. Additional trips to Kenya instilled a passion for giving back. After completing her MA in Higher Education, Katy worked in Study Abroad and Student Housing and led semester abroad programs across Europe and outdoor adventure programs across Texas. When not leading for ARCC, Katy has set her sights on going to all the US National Parks (she’s been to 36!). She is an avid Harry Potter fan, loves podcasts, and could eat burrito bowls for every meal.
