Kiersten Gihring

Kiersten grew up in Colorado Springs and now calls Bend, Oregon, home. She earned her degree in International Relations from Point Loma Nazarene University, guiding snowmobile and backpacking tours in the Colorado backcountry in between semesters. When she is not traveling with ARCC, Kiersten works as a ski patroller, an adventure medic, and a brewery tour guide.

On her days off, Kiersten can be found trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing or hiking with her Golden Retriever. She is passionate about making the outdoors more accessible and inclusive, preserving natural spaces, and responding to emergencies in the outdoors. Kiersten’s travels have taken her all around the globe, and what she values most are the connections made along the way, and the time spent exploring wild spaces.
