Aly, a.k.a. Gator, grew up as a child in Maryland and as an adult in the Carolinas. She received her B.S. in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina, where she found her love for exploring the outdoors via an excursion club. She has completed several cross country roadtrips, exploring the beautiful wilderness of the United States. When she’s not traveling with ARCC, she spends much of her year in Yosemite National Park as an environmental educator. She loves learning and teaching simultaneously and has been an outdoor educator since 2019. In her free time you can find her hiking, backpacking, car camping by the ocean, looking for little critters, learning about plants, reading, climbing, and enjoying quality time with her friends.
