Ingrid grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts and graduated from Bridgewater State University in 2019 with a degree in Psychology and Social Work. In the following years, she worked with a variety of populations within the mental health field, but found her passion working with teenagers and young adults as they move through navigating that challenging and transformative time in their lives. In 2021, she left MA to pursue her love of travel and education in the scuba diving and yoga education industry. During that time, she received her PADI Divemaster certification as well as her Coral Nursery Maintenance certification from Utila Dive Center in Utila, Honduras as well as her 500 Hour Yoga Teaching certification from the Nexus Institute in Nosara, Costa Rica. She worked in both of these industries while still working in mental health counseling online as she traveled throughout Central America, exploring various countries including Honduras, Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Panama. All of these interests came together when she began working for Global Leadership Adventures facilitating international community service based leadership programs for adolescents. She mentored programs in Costa Rica for the first three summers with the company, and stepped into the International Director role in summer 2024 in the Dominican Republic. Focuses of these programs have included ocean conservation, National Park restoration, environmental advocacy, and Spanish language immersion. She is an avid lover of all things water related and has also spent time instructing wakeboarding and participating on research initiatives for marine preservation.
