Jake grew up in Seattle Washington. He attended Dartmouth College in New Hampshire where he studied biology and mathematics, along with a minor in human centered design. Recently he has been living in the high mountains of Colorado working as a math teacher and ski instructor during the winters. Jake is passionate about sustainability and education and has done ecology research across 4 continents. When not leading at ARCC he is likely outside climbing, kayaking, or playing guitar or ukulele.
