Jessica Lajoie

Jessica grew up in Selden, New York, a town on Long Island. Eventually, she made the move to Massachusetts to attend Springfield College. She majored in Therapeutic Recreation and minored in Psychology and YMCA Management.  After school, Jessica decided to take what she’d like to call the “Scenic Route.” She worked in a variety of settings, including recreational therapy programs in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, hospitality, agricultural/eco-tourism, outdoor/environmental education, and student travel. While this is not a conventional, straightforward path, it has led her to where she is now, and could not be happier.

Jessica started working for ARCC in 2021 and has led 4 Gap Semesters (Hawaii, South America, Centro-Caribbean, and Southeast Asia) and 3 summer programs (Alaska, California, and Belize).
