Peter was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up mostly in the Chicago area. Ever since he can remember, he has loved the outdoors, adventure, and wildlife. In high school he worked at a nature center and was very involved in Scouting, earning his Eagle Scout rank. He attended Eckerd College in Florida and graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in environmental studies. Peter did several study abroad programs including Honduras, The Bahamas, Ecuador, Australia, and Cuba.
After college, Peter worked as a field biologist working with animals such as turtles, pythons, alligators, and crocodiles. These jobs took him to North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and The Florida Everglades. Internationally, Peter worked in The Philippines and Peru helping with coral restoration and Amazon conservation projects.
Peter recently pivoted into guiding and teaching. He led eco-tourism trips in The Florida Everglades as well as shark snorkeling tours in South Florida. Peter taught marine science and surfing at a summer camp in North Carolina and outdoor education in Northern California near Yosemite.
In his free time, Peter loves to surf, snowboard, mountain bike, freedive, camp, rock climb, kayak, cliff dive, and hike. Peter has been to 44 states, 28 countries, and all 7 continents. He loves learning through adventure and helping others challenge themselves, feel connected, and experience the fascinating world we live in.
